Who doesn’t love to play the home reinvention game?
If you ask my mum I think she will say I was always reinventing my room when I was younger, adding quirky features like a toilet with a plant growing out of it at one point. I actually should thank Mum and dad for actually indulging me and finding me a toilet ……..
Well they do say “change is as good as a rest”, and that’s definitely true for me and my design style.
Admittedly I don’t veer too far from my own page style wise at home, but I am always reinventing areas and spaces in my own home with subtle changes, and any sort of break from my house (which is often , as I’m out of the country working A LOT) means I come back with a whole new list of changes I am about to make.
LOVE WHAT YOU DO. DO WHAT YOU LOVE
Being an interior stylist, my interiors itch does get scratched rather a lot as I get to play with different styles and designs in other people’s houses but I have huge style envy when visit places, be it hotels or just my super stylish friends’ homes and therefore I am always making changes.
My changes never emulate my friends’ style…….. it’s very important to differentiate inspo from copying, and even more important to trust in your own style. You’ll know when it works.
I’m about to make a whole host of changes, some large, some small. So watch this space, these images will no doubt come under the “befores”
